23rd International West Kent Run        March Update (1st March 2007)
(Archive of past Updates)

Entries are now coming in very well and there is already a wide age range and variety of machines.

We shall be pleased to welcome the 14 first-time riders who have entered so far.

This year is the centenary of the Douglas and the London Douglas Club is making a big effort to get a lot of bikes entered for the Run.

We have bikes ranging from a 50cc NSU Quickly to a 1400cc Harley Davidson Electra Glide and already there are unusual bikes like Michael Ernst's 98cc Ducati and a Dayton Albatross scooter.

Rooms are booking up very fast and well over half of our usual allocation have already been taken within the first 100 entries.  If you, or your friends, are thinking of booking a room please act quickly.

Thank you to all of you who check the website from time to time.  The statistics show that we have had at least 60 visitors a day almost every day since Christmas.  I have now got the entries list up to date but have still not had the time to add all the photos that I have been sent.  I'll make an effort to find the time to scan them, crop them and load them onto the site.

Family arrangements have prevented my proposed visit to Utrecht Vehikel.  I had hoped to get amongst the overseas Clubs to publicise the event.  If you have overseas contacts please spread the word.

Best wishes

Alan Abrahams
