Repeated from last month's update

Funeral arrangements for Peter Firth.
Our Chairman, Peter Firth has died.  Peter has been quite unwell over the past couple of years but had fought against the cancer and defied the predictions of his doctors.  In the last few weeks Peter has been in his local hospice, where he died on the evening of Tuesday 16th February.  Our thoughts are with Brenda and the other members of the family at this difficult time.

The funeral will not be until Tuesday 23rd March (please note NOT 24th February.)  The cremation will take place at Falconwood Crematorium at 3.30pm.  It is Brenda's wish that as many people as possible turn up on motorcycles.  You are welcome to gather at the house (70, Wickham Street, Welling DA16 3BT) at 3pm or at the Crematorium just before 3.30pm.
Brenda has also requested that no flowers be sent.  She would prefer that donations be made to the Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice, where Peter was so well cared for.  Donations, made in the name of the Hospice, can be sent to Karen Smith at 119, Abbots Walk, Bexleyheath DA7 5RN.

All entry forms should now be sent to Keith Gibbins  81, Chesterfield Drive Sevenoaks.  Kent TN13 2EQ.  Around 200 entries have now been received and the entry forms have been printed and were posted out by the end of February.  Thank you to all of you who have printed forms from this website and sent them in already.

The switch over to Keith has gone quite smoothly - except for the entry form for Basil Marsh of Southampton, which seems to have gone missing.  Basil - please contact me.  If you know Basil please pass the message to him so that we can sort the problem out !

Thomas Kohler, FIVA Motorcycle Commission President.
I am pleased to note that we shall have Thomas Kohler from Switzerland with us again this year.  Thomas is the President  of the Motorcycle Commission of FIVA (Federation International des Vehicules Anciennes), which is the international umbrella body for Clubs like ours.

Belgian riders.
I'm also very pleased to tell you that we have some riders from Belgium this year - the first Belgians for several years.  These include Ronald Florens, who has not ridden with us for years but who has been very well known to British riders for many years.

350 Rider limit.
As has been stated already, we shall revert to our 350 entrant limit and cannot take the huge numbers that applied last year.  Please enter early to avoid disappointment.

Rooms are booking quickly.
There are only 50 rooms so please book early if you wish to stay at the Friars.  There will be no problem with camping.

ROOMS ARE NOW ALL SOLD - THERE ARE NO MORE ROOMS AT THE FRIARS

Please pass the word about the event to your friends.

Best Wishes
Alan Abrahams and the West Kent Run Committee.
