| A view of part of the old buildings at The Friars at Aylesford. King Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries in the 1530s and the Carmelite Order of Brothers at Aylesford had to leave. In the 1940s the Carmelite Order acquired the property again and began to renovate and rebuild. |
