Aylesford is a beautiful village, only 2 miles from the centre of Maidstone. The Friary is only 150 metres from the church you see in the picture. The River Medway is in the foreground and you can see the terrace of the Chequers pub.

Bus service (Arriva Service 155) Aylesford to Maidstone or to Rochester / Chatham. The bus passes the entrance to The Friars. There is one bus an hour (Mon - Fri), every 1½ hours (Saturday) and every 2 hours on Sunday.

Eccles - (the next village. Turn left as you leave the Friars)
